The Glascock Standard cooler was the first standardized cooler produced for the Coca Cola company from the 1920's through the 30's. Originally located in Muncie,Indiana they later changed their name to Glasco and continued to produce Coke machines.
The Glascock cooler has four tin panels ,which are embossed with the Coca Cola Logo, as well as Serve Yourself and Please Pay the Clerk.
The cooler measures 40" tall, 31.5" wide, and 23.5" deep.
There is a space below the cooler to display 4 wooden cases of Coke bottles and a drain within the ice chest makes removal of water easy. The Standard has two lids that hinge in the middle and open up "butterfly" style.
Due to it's age, the Glascock cooler is not as common as later red coolers and is a refreshingly different addition for your home or business.
Serial number 411, Stenciled on underside is Coca Cola Bottling Company Okmulgee Oklahoma.
This cooler has been restored by myself to a very high standard, and comes with two empty Coca Cola cases only.
This is the only known model in New Zealand.
